When you’re only wearing one sock a day, and you’re out of socks, it’s time to do laundry.
On May 21, 2006, Heather broke her ankle and discovered for the first time that the internet couldn’t help. This is her story.
When you’re only wearing one sock a day, and you’re out of socks, it’s time to do laundry.
That is so freaking funny!! I think everyone has gone through it because doing laundry as a hop a long sucks. My friend took me out to the mall in a wheelchair and (how pathetic is this) I bought a new pack of socks and undies to avoid the dreaded laundry. Bonus, I did catch them on sale!!!
too funny!!!
Laundry… I’m trying to persuade my husband that since it is going to be another month before I can get my butt up and down the stairs, and stairs, and stairs, that maybe he should take everything he can find to the laundromat, and in 2 hours have about 18 loads of laundry done.
Ha! That’s funny! I just started stealing my fiance’s socks! This site is amazing. It has kept me entertained during the dredded bed-ridden period. In the cast for 6 weeks now and frankly – I’m over it.
Heather – I just broke my ankle a week and a half ago, and like you, have found not much useful information on the internet. I’m so happy to have stumbled across your blogs. They made me laugh out loud, and even almost cry at times. Thanks so much for sharing.
I actually broke my ankle in 3 places too… and wow, just googled in broke my ankle, i have to say as im sure i will become a bitter bi*** in about 30 minutes, u understand, but you definately made me laugh. Crazy….you put exactly into words what I’ve been going through from the bedpan to the heels girl…even the braces accident-although mine involved a basketball and a bicycle. That was one of the FIRST questions I asked my doctor, when I was gonna be able to be in heels. Im 21, they say I got 3 months of no pressure…but I just wanted to thank you for lifting my spirits up for the moment. It’s very depressing not being able to go out, enjoy being young, and get mad at your body. <3
anyone had to have corrective surgery for screw not healing on ankle dislocation. The skin has now died and I will have to have graft and maybe if deeper layers dead then another op to take flesh @ fill in hole left by removal of tissue. Can anyone help me with their experiences.
Oh my goodness, you are hilarious! I googled “my husband broke his ankle in three places” and BAM, here I am reading your blog. He broke his tib/fib and there is mysteriously part of his ankle bone that is “floating” somewhere. He is three weeks from the accident (he slid wrong into second base but he likes to say he was attacked by midget strippers…lol) and surgery is finally tomorrow!!! YAY! I am going to show him your blog as he is discouraged as well (nine days inpatient at Duke University will do that to ya) and could use a good laugh! You should seriously consider writing a book
